As head of the Danish Multiple Sclerosis Center, Finn Sellebjerg is involved in a wide array of research studies, including research at the Danish Multiple Sclerosis Registry. Main research interests focus on translational research in immune-mediated diseases of the central nervous system, especially multiple sclerosis.
The overarching research aim is to understand the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis from the preclinical stages to the late, progressive stages of the disease and improve treatment strategies. Main areas of interest include cerebrospinal fluid and blood biomarker studies, outcome measures for clinical trials, development of novel protocols for clinical trials, and conducting investigator-initiated clinical trials.
